Canada’s Winter Olympics, get ready

Canada’s Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort Puts Canada’s Winter Olympics Enthusiasts Right in the Middle of the Fun

After being selected as the host site for some events of the 2010 Winter Olympics Vancouver celebration, some skiers and enthusiasts wondered if the Whistler resort would even be open to the general public.

However, management at the largest ski resort in North America announced today that Whistler Blackcomb is open for business before, during, and after Canada’s Winter Olympic events, and that while some of the slopes have been reserved for winter Olympics competitions, a large number of the other slopes will remain open.

This is good news for avid winter sports fans, and also aspiring athletes who would like the unique opportunity of being able to ski alongside some of the greatest athletes in the world. Upon hearing these announcements, many were fearful that prices would be so outrageous during Canada’s Winter Olympics festivities that it wouldn’t be worth it to book a stay at Whistler Blackcomb.

Canada’s Winter Olympics means higher prices

However, management at the Canadian resort says that even though prices are slightly higher during the festivities, it is important to keep in mind that prices prior to and shortly after the events remain relatively competitive.

Right now, Whistler Blackcomb is even offering a number of promotional incentives to make this ski destination even more attractive during the winter Olympics festivities.
